E. T. “Tad” Lewis, serves as Corporate Counsel and Executive Vice President of Global Building, where he oversees all legal aspects of the company, and provides counsel for corporate governance, capital and investment strategies, legal compliance and risk mitigation.
Mr. Lewis has over 25 years of experience in real estate, private venture and asset-based finance, strategic joint ventures, and business management. In addition to his work with Global Building, Mr. Lewis practices law in the State of Washington through his firm, GuidePoint Law PLLC, which focuses on real estate, technology and retail ventures, and intellectual property law. Before joining Global Building, Mr. Lewis was a partner at Mundt MacGregor LLP, a Seattle law firm focused on the banking, manufacturing and seafood markets in the Pacific Northwest and Europe. Prior to this, he was Chief Financial Officer, General Counsel and Vice President of Business Development at AccessLine Communications (now a division of Intermedia), where he helped spearhead the company’s initial push into Europe and Asia.
Mr. Lewis also held various legal positions at The Boeing Company, where he advised the finance group on asset-based financing, international joint ventures, and mergers and acquisitions, and managed the legal aspects of the pension plan’s investment in distressed REITs. Mr. Lewis began his career at Perkins Coie, an international law firm headquartered in Seattle.
Mr. Lewis earned his Bachelor degree in mathematics from the University of California-Berkeley and his JD from the University of Washington. He serves on the Board of Members of Global Building, LLC and was formerly on the boards of the Sustainable Building Advisor Institute and the International Sustainability Institute (www.isiseattle.org). Tad Lewis and C. W. Tucker Lewis are brothers.
